Withum furthers UCF accounting students’ ambitions to become CPAs with scholarship grants.
Dedicated to the success of the Central Florida business and higher education communities, Withum continues to be a financial supporter and platinum sponsor of the Kenneth G. Dixon School of Accounting Academic Excellence Awards Scholarship Program at the University of Central Florida (UCF).

On Friday, March 28, 2025, Russell Goldberg, partner-in-charge of the Orlando office, awarded $12,650 in scholarships to eight Knights students at the UCF Spring Banquet.
Withum is always looking for ways to help the next generation discover a passion for accounting. We are grateful to continue working with UCF to benefit local scholars who will be future leaders in our business community. It was my personal honor to award these scholarships to hard-working, deserving students. We believe in paying it forward, and I encourage the entire profession to do the same. Increasing scholarship investments in the future of our profession will ensure the long-term economic success of our communities.
Russell Goldberg, Partner-in-Charge, Orlando
Withum remains the largest donor of the program and is no stranger to the UCF community. As a longtime corporate partner of the UCF College of Business, the Firm established the Withum Learning Lab in 2019. The lab is a high-tech student collaboration and tutoring space for students in the Dixon School of Accounting. Withum was also honored with a Partnership Award at the UCF College of Business Hall of Fame event in 2020. In 2024, Russell Goldberg was also inducted into the College of Business Hall of Fame for his contributions to the University and its students.
As the war on talent for accounting professionals remains at an all-time high, and fewer students choose accounting as a career path, Withum maximizes opportunities to share its unique culture and the benefits of public accounting – this scholarship event being one of them. Throughout the year, team members also regularly connect with UCF students through various recruiting and experiential learning opportunities.
Over the past five years, Withum has donated over $40,000 in scholarships to deserving students. Scholarship recipients are full-time undergraduate or graduate students with a 3.0 GPA or higher. In total, nearly $80,000 in scholarship funds were awarded to deserving students at the 2025 event.
